COVID-19 threw the world into turmoil last year, presenting a myriad of unforeseen challenges to life as we know it. From social distancing through to travel restrictions, Australians have all had to adjust our lifestyles. Here at Living Gems Lifestyle Resorts, our top priority has always been and will continue to be the welfare of our communities and residents.
Moving quickly to respond to government restrictions, the Living Gems Team has gone above and beyond to ensure our Community residents are always safe, healthy and happy. We’ve provided and will continue to provide support in every way we can, through initiatives that encourage social connection, educating our residents on COVID-19 protocols as well as easing unprecedented financial concerns that residents may have.
Keeping residents informed
Unlike living in modern-day suburbia, which can become lonely for some, Living Gems prides itself on the fantastic connection it shares with home owners. Residents have 24/7 access to senior management at any time of the day and night by simply just picking up a phone or sending through an email. Another key element of our COVID-safe community program was the weekly bulletin published for residents, which provided timely and accurate coronavirus updates. The Bulletin ensured that home owners were always aware of the information they needed to optimise their physical and mental health and well-being during lockdown.
Alleviating any COVID-related financial uncertainty for our residents, Living Gems offered a cash rebate to assist home owners to pay for their groceries and utilities. This goodwill initiative was key to helping our residents feel safe and secure in a time of huge uncertainty. We also ensured there were no increases in site rent – because there are more important things to take care of during a pandemic.
