Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve
Get back to nature at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. This lovely 55-hectare reserve is home to more than 140 species of birds. Choose from easy walking tracks, join a group for guided walks or spend time in the Rainforest Discovery Centre. The reserve also has organised events including photography workshops.
Kondalilla Falls and Baroon Pocket Dam
Not far from Montville is spectacular Kondalilla Falls, an 80-metre waterfall which is easily accessible via the Picnic Creek Circuit. Take the path down to the rock pools the cool mountain water for a refreshing swim.
For keen hikers, the Kondalilla Falls has a walking trek which takes you down to Baroon Pocket Dam where kayaking, sailing and rowing is allowed.

Living Gems Maleny is a land lease community. This means the ownership of the land is separate from the ownership of the home. Your right to live in your home for an indefinite period is protected by Queensland State Government law.
We don’t believe in deferred management fees in Living Gems communities. You own your own home so you are entitled to 100% of the capital gains should you wish to sell in the future. Also, there is no stamp duty to pay when you purchase.
Maintenance of the gardens and the facilities is covered by a weekly site management fee.
Your pets are most certainly welcome at Living Gems Maleny. You’ll discover many of our homeowners are animal lovers too!
Yes. Your family and friends are always welcome to visit and stay with you overnight as guests.
The cost of operating and maintaining the Country Club, other resort facilities and on-site management is covered by a modest weekly site fee which is paid monthly. These fees are billed monthly and increase in accordance with the terms of your Site Agreement.
