About Bravehearts
Bravehearts was founded in 1997 by Hetty Johnston AM, after she discovered that her young daughter had been sexually assaulted. Realising there was no professional body to turn to for advice and support, Hetty established Bravehearts, which today provides a range of industry-leading services for children and their families, including:
- Child protection training
- Education programs
- Specialist counselling and support services
- Research and lobbying
With the mission to make Australia the safest place in the world to raise a child, Bravehearts has established the 3 Piers to Prevention; educate, empower and protect. Through these piers, Bravehearts ultimately aims to prevent the occurrence of child sexual assault and exploitation.
Living Gems’ role in supporting and protecting our young children
Here at Living Gems, we are committed to keeping the kids of Australia safe. With many of our Residents being grandparents to little ones, this cause is very close to our hearts.
Being able to offer our full support to Bravehearts as a corporate partner, we not only donate to the organisation on an ongoing basis but also sponsor a range of Bravehearts’ events.
