Living Gems Caboolture

Music shows hit the perfect note

Always on the search for new ways to have fun, Gayle Harris loves seeing her fellow residents getting out and about and having a great time – especially at their music shows.

That’s why last month Gayle locked in two tribute shows, a performance by Mirusia as well as their quarterly ‘Movin and Groovin Morning’. Yes, what very busy and exciting times at Living Gems Caboolture Riverfront!

Taking a proactive approach, Gayle is always on the lookout for new acts and will chat to the performers directly, forming a wonderful rapport (and often securing a great ticket price). Gayle’s motto is ‘anything is possible if you give it a go’.

‘NIGHT FEVER’ SUCCESS AT THE BEE GEEZ TRIBUTE SHOW

What a wonderful evening! The Bee Geez Tribute Show nailed all the hits, from Staying Alive and How Deep is Your Love to More than a Woman and of course, Night Fever!

Getting the audience involved from the very first note, it wasn’t long before residents were singing along and getting up to dance.

THE ELVIS TRIBUTE SHOW HAD EVERYONE ‘ALL SHOOK UP’

Discovering the Elvis Tribute Show online, Gayle knew this would be a smash amongst Living Gems residents. And she was right! Interacting with the crowd from the get-go, ‘Elvis’ danced on tables, and gave it everything he had. The audience loved him!

And the highlight of the music show had to be Elvis wrapping his scarf around a staunch fanatic’s neck and cuddling her – she was beside herself!

A SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE BY MIRUSIA

Known as ‘The Unconventional Pop Star’, Mirusia is an Australian soprano who performs on the world stage. After touring with Andre Rieu since 2007, Mirusia was in Australia when the COVID pandemic hit, and has been performing locally over the last two years.

Living Gems Caboolture Riverfront was one of the very lucky audiences to welcome Mirusia to their stage – not once but twice! Drawing a huge crowd to each show (even guests from other lifestyle resorts), Mirusia performed a host of popular theatre songs, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed!

MOVIN’ AND GROOVIN’ MORNINGS

But wait, there’s more! Yes, Movin’ and Groovin’ Mornings are held three times a year, and this one, as always, played to a packed house! Featuring a range of different acts, including the popular Darrin Leigh, these mornings are free and open to friends and family. But be warned, it gets very crowded on the dance floor!

THE BEST MUSIC SHOWS, WITHOUT BLOWING THE BUDGET

Always ensuring that each music show at Living Gems is affordable for all, Gayle goes above and beyond to keep the ticket price reasonable. At each monthly entertainment night, Gayle runs a raffle to offset any shortfall of show costs. This allows her to generally keep tickets at around $15. It’s a win-win!
