After moving from acreage into a unit at Scarborough, Stephen and Judy Hilton soon realised that apartment living wasn’t for them. It was time to rightsize their lifestyle, which is exactly what they did – at Living Gems Caboolture Riverfront!
FROM DOWNSIZING TO RIGHTSIZING
Looking for a balance of indoor and outdoor living, the Hiltons also wanted to live in a location that was central to their children. They had driven past Living Gems Caboolture Riverfront on many occasions over the years.
And every time they’d note how amazing it looked -from the modern homes and immaculatelylandscaped grounds to the surrounding parklandsand serenity of the Caboolture River.
When they began their search for their next home, Stephen and Judy looked at quite a few Lifestyle Resorts. But none compared to the quality of Living Gems.
And, to seal the deal, they were floored by the service and attention they were given by the Resort Managers who “bent over backwards” to look after them.
“We hadn’t originally considered moving to Caboolture. But after moving into the Living Gems Resort here, we’ve never looked back. It’s amazing. The community and facilities are second to none. It really tops the list, it’s just extraordinary,” said Judy.
WHY DRIVE WHEN YOU CAN WALK… OR GET THERE IN A GOLF BUGGY
The Hiltons have everything they need at their fingertips -from social activities and fitness facilities to dedicated spaces where they can enjoy their hobbies. And getting from A to B is super easy and quick – they either walk or take their golf buggy!
“Our golf buggy takes us every where around the Resort. We can load it up with what we need, it’s so convenient. We even used it as a limousine at a recent gala dinner, picking up our Neighbours from their homes and driving them to the front door. It’s so much fun,” said Judy.
THE PERFECT SPACE TO LIVE LIFE EXACTLY HOW THEY WANT
Stephen and Judy have a small garden they look out to from their lovely patio. Having missed the sun in their south-facing apartment, they can now look out the door from their home and can see the sky.
“There’s quite a bit more space here. It’s perfect and exactly what we wanted,” said Judy.
As Living Gems Residents, the couple also enjoysexclusive access to the river and surrounding parklands with its beautiful birdlife.
“To be able to sit and look out over this gorgeous area is wonderful. It’s the pleasure of life. How lucky we are,” said Judy.
THE COMMUNITY, THE FACILITIES, THE ACTIVITIES – ITS THE WHOLE SHEBANG
From the moment they arrived at Living Gems Caboolture Riverfront, the Hiltons knew they were home.
With neighbours popping in to welcome them (with delicious blueberry muffins we might add) and social events always on the go, the days fly by for the active couple.
Judy is having a blast, enjoying weekly aqua aerobics held in the Resort pool, card-making activities in the art & craft studio and getting her hair done onsite.
While Stephen enjoys playing snooker and taking his remote control cars for a spin down by the river (here’s where the golf buggy comes in handy again)!
“It’s just wonderful – the dinners, the meals, the entertainment and the facilities. It’s all very special and we feel so spoilt living here,” said Judy.
In fact, the Hiltons love their Living Gems lifestyle so much, they introduced Stephen’s brother to the Resort, who has also now moved into his dream home. Yes, it’s happiness all round!
