A milestone moment for our Moreton Bay Country Club
It was a milestone worth celebrating at Living Gems Moreton Bay last week, as current and future residents and special guests came together to officially mark the start of construction on the community’s $15 million Country Club.
Under sunny Moreton Bay skies, City of Moreton Bay Councillor Mark Booth and Living Gems CEO Anthony Puljich were joined by residents John Pascoe and Neil McLoughlin to turn the first sod on the much-anticipated facility, which is set to become the social and recreational heart of the growing Burpengary East community.
A great group of current and future residents joined the occasion, hearing addresses from Cr Booth and Mr Puljich before gathering for food, drinks and the chance to meet some of the people they’ll soon be calling neighbours.
For Mr Puljich, the occasion offered a glimpse of exactly what the Country Club is being created for.
“The Country Club will be a home away from home for the community; a place that will become its true beating heart,” he said.
“Friendship and socialising are so important at any age, and something we find people particularly seek in this phase of life, so spaces like this help facilitate the moments that spark those vital new connections.”
Anticipated to take around 16 months to complete, the modern, coastal-inspired Country Club will offer an impressive range of spaces to stay active, pursue hobbies or simply catch up with friends.
Residents will be able to enjoy ten-pin bowling, a golf simulator, heated swimming pool and spa, lawn bowls, gymnasium, cinema, library, bar and lounge, and ballroom with theatre stage.
There will also be a creative studio for arts and music, a meeting room for those working from home, and plenty of relaxed spaces to meet for a coffee, a drink or a chat.
High raked ceilings, natural textures and warm tones will create a light, welcoming environment, with the design taking its inspiration from Moreton Bay’s relaxed coastal lifestyle.
The Country Club will complement additional recreational facilities already under construction, including a hybrid tennis and pickleball court.
The milestone comes as Living Gems Moreton Bay continues to take shape, with the first residents now settled into their new homes and more future homeowners preparing to join them.
In many ways, the sod turning offered a taste of what’s ahead. Residents who already call Living Gems home mingled with future neighbours, shared stories over food and drinks and celebrated another major step forward for their new community.
Living Gems Moreton Bay will ultimately feature 186 homes, with more than $15 million in homes already sold across the first two stages.
