How good are Living Gems Resorts?

Living Gems has been creating classy retirement communities for Australia’s baby boomers for decades. We’re a family-owned company that specialises in developing and managing, what we think, are the finest Lifestyle Resorts in Australia. What does Living Gems think about Deferred Management Fees?

In short, we hate deferred management fees and we don’t understand why anyone would willingly agree to pay them. You’ll be pleased to know that people residing at Living Gems Lifestyle Resorts will never pay deferred management fees. It’s one of the things that makes our model of retirement living so special.

If you become a Home Owner at a Living Gems Lifestyle Resort and your home generates a capital gain in the years to come, then YOU’LL get to keep YOUR capital gain when you sell – that’s our promise to you. Whilst we don’t guarantee capital gains, it’s comforting to know you could actually generate a financial profit by moving into a Living Gems community.

Is my home guaranteed and who’s the builder?

We guarantee your home guarantee. You’ll be pleased to know your new home will be covered by a long, government-mandated guarantee. It’s the law – and you are protected.

Living Gems’ homes are designed and built to the highest standards. We’ve been doing this for decades and we understand what’s expected. We’re proud of our homes and we think they’re the best.

Our construction division is headed by the Founder of Living Gems, Peter Puljich. Peter has held a Queensland Master Builders Association building licence since 1980 – so you can rest assured he knows what he’s doing.

Peter is an old-school, no nonsense type of builder. He doesn’t take short cuts and he demands that our Home Owners are treated like family. Others have come and gone, but Peter is still delivering. You just can’t beat that type of experience.

We build more than just nice houses and Country Clubs – we build communities.

What facilities do you provide at the new Living Gems Resorts?

Our pride and joy are our premium, multi-million-dollar, award-winning Country Clubs. Our newest Resorts feature some of Queensland’s most tasteful and prime Country Clubs. These Country Clubs offer a HUGE number of facilities. We’ve recently released brand new ballrooms with theatre stages, gymnasiums, swimming pools, music rooms, arts and crafts studios and much more.

For those who like to be amongst the action, our sports facilities are not to be missed.  A number of our new Resorts feature an indoor pool, a fully-fledged ten-pin bowling alley and even a golf simulator – not to mention the bowling green, tennis court and indoor games room – there’s so much to do!

Can the Resort Operator remove me from the Resort?

No. The Resort Operator does not have that power.

People living at our Resorts own their homes on an outright basis. Living Gems homes are affordable (and classy!) because ownership of the land is separate from the ownership of the home. Although you do not own the land under your house, your right to live in your home is guaranteed and protected by Queensland State Government law for an indefinite period of time.

Why buy the land under your house if you don’t need to? You buy the house and save the money that you would otherwise spend on the land – Who said affordable housing is a myth?

Are Living Gems Lifestyle Resorts for retirees only?

We love everybody!

At Living Gems, we are blessed to have Home Owners from all walks of life – those who are retired as well as those who are considering retirement.

Does Living Gems employ on-site Resort Managers?

Yes indeed. Our on-site Resort Managers are amongst the best in the business. Aside from our wonderful Home Owners, they are the engine room of our organisation and we could not operate without them.

In addition to maintaining the common area facilities, our Resort Managers are there to lend an ear, a helping hand and to offer some friendly advice when needed. They are the perfect conduit between the Resort Operator and our Home Owners.

Can I store a recreational vehicle?

The ‘grey nomad’ phenomena is alive and well at all Living Gems Resorts. Our establishments are literally bursting with caravans and recreational vehicles. Many of our Home Owners are seasoned travellers who simply cannot live without being close to their RV’s.

In order to address the growing demand, Living Gems has created a special new range of home designs that can accommodate large caravans inside the garage of a standard home. Don’t worry – depending on the home design, you’ll still have plenty of room to park up to two full-sized motor cars alongside your pride and joy without compromising the functionality of your new home.
